Circular deburring brushes
Ewu Brush Deburring Machines are designed for off the shelf circular brushes. This feature enables the use of various circular brush types for different deburring operations. The main circular brush types used have nylon grinding bristles and steel wire bristles.
All ewu Brush Deburring Machines are designed to operate with circular brushes with a diameter of 300 mm. This offers major advantages over circular brushes with a diameter of 250 mm. These advantages are:
- Lower RPMs at the same rotating speed, which results in less, bristle flexing and bristle fracture.
- Even at lower RPMs there is an equal number of bristle contacts with a diameter 120 mm pipe and a 30% increase in bristle life.
Circular brushes with nylon grinding bristles are permeated with SiC grinding grain. Optimal deburring results are achieved by the hard and sharp points of the grinding grain supported from highly flexible bristles. Edge curvature occurs though material removal.
Circular brushes with steel wire bristles are mainly used to deburr steel work pieces. Circular brushes with bristles of different diameter and strength are available. The bristles consist of high strength corrugated or stranded special wires. Circular brushes with stainless steel wire bristles are obtainable to deburr stainless steel work pieces.
Exchanging a Circular Brush
Exchanging a circular brush is simple and user friendly:
- Push casing upper part to the rear of the machine.
- The brush unit space and circular brushes are now easily accessible.
- A circular brush is exchanged in approximately 3 minutes.
- All ewu Brush Deburring Machines are operated with off the shelf circular brushes.
